Geekolaus 2018 FAQ

The time has come, the Geekolaus is at the door again and is handing out surprise presents! This year you have been given the task of decorating our Christmas parlors in a festive and nerdy way. How do I know which group (red or green) I belong to? #

After ordering the Geekolaus item, you will receive a confirmation email in which you will find your team name (red or green). The allocation is random.

How do I find my team members?

You will receive a link to a Discord server in your confirmation email. To be able to interact with your team members there, you will need a Discord account.

Can we use the entire room?

You can use almost everything you can see in the pictures to decorate the room:

• Chair
• table
• Tree
• Three hooks on the wall

You can not the ground use! The floor will not cluttered! Decorations that are to be placed on the floor will be disqualified, because Anni still has to have somewhere to put the decorations on the tree etc. :)

What are the dimensions of the furniture?

Chair:

• Width: 68cm
• Depth: 82cm
• Height: 100cm
• Seat width: 56cm
• Seat depth: 50cm
• Seat height: 42cm

• Length: 55cm
• Width: 55cm
• Height: 45cm
• Max. load: 25kg

How are the hooks aligned?

The hooks are arranged as follows: From the top edge of the chair backrest to the lowest hook is 27cm, to the middle hook 45cm and to the top hook 55cm. The distance between the hooks is approx. 17 cm from the bottom side to the middle hook, approx. 29 cm from the bottom to the top hook (measured from top to bottom) and approx. 27 cm from the top to the middle hook.

Can we ask for things to be moved/hooks to be placed somewhere else etc?

No, you can't do that. The arrangement of the furniture, the trees and the positioning of the hooks will remain as you see them in the pictures to ensure fairness for both teams.

Are the halves of the room the same size?

Yes, they are :) Anni has measured them exactly. Both teams have absolutely the same conditions!

How will the winning team be determined?

The last stream will take place on 17.12. All packages that have not yet made it into the stream will be boxed there. On December 18, there will be a vote to determine which team has created the most beautiful Christmas parlor. You will find out how and where the vote will take place in good time.
